Bosh Welcomes New Baby, Heads Back For Game 3

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami Heat power forward Chris Bosh flew back to Miami just in time to be with his wife who gave birth to their first child sometime early Thursday morning.

Bosh was in New York preparing with the team for the Heat's playoff game with the Knicks Thursday night. Team officials were told late Wednesday Bosh had to return home immediately.

Bosh left New York on a private plane. His wife, Adrienne, posted a photo on a social media account that said, "Hurry Home."

Around 9 a.m., Adrienne posted the following message to Twitter:

"From a dream, to a thought, to reality, to being in our arms :) Thank you for all for the positive wishes and thoughts."

Bosh and Heat owner Micky Arison have both said that mother and baby are doing well.

Congratulations Bosh family!

But Heat fans shouldn't worry about Bosh's status for Game 3 against the New York Knicks.

According to David Aldridge of TNT/NBA.com, Bosh will fly back to New York at some point today and rejoin his team for Game 3.

The Heat held its normally scheduled morning shootaround at Madison Square Garden Thursday morning.
