Pembroke Pines (CBSMiami) – A Child is Missing alert was conducted Wednesday morning by the Pembroke Pines Police Department for a missing 20-year old man who suffers from multiple illnesses.

Phillip Lane, who has Aspergers syndrome, schizophrenia and a bipolar disorder, was last seen around 10 a.m. in the kitchen of his home located at 101 SW 65^th Way.  Lane has the mental capacity of a child.  While his illnesses cause him to mimic the behavior of those he encounters, he has never displayed violent behavior.

Pembroke Pines police said Lane is endangered because he moved to the city area two months ago and is unfamiliar with the region.

On Wednesday, K9 units from the Hialeah Police Department and a Broward Sheriff’s helicopter assisted in the search but came up empty.

Lane is 5’11″ and about 230 pounds.  He has a short brown afro, black eyes, a heavy build and a clean shave.

He was wearing a black shirt with an orange and red picture and dark pants at the time of his disappearance.
