I am a Miami Resident, who went to the polls with patience, why in the world would people wait til Election Day to request or return an Absentee Ballot when the deadline was broadcast weeks before. Why would a voter complain about waiting in line or get to the voting machine and rush the machine, then it jams they say oh the machines aren't working and be rude to the Staff. I tell this to the Mayor, Supervisor of Elections and Staff, you did a good job dispite the greivances voters had/have against the Elections Department. We leave home uneducated about the issues on the ballot, regardless of the numerous correspondence handed out to help educate the voter prior to coming to the polls. GET OVER YOURSELVES PEOPLE, WE COMPLAIN AND POINT FINGERS AT EVERYONE ELSE BUT OURSELVES. NO ONE SHOULD HAVE BEEN TRYING TO GET AN ABSENTEE BALLOT ON SUNDAY, MONDAY OR TUESDAY.

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Republican Congressman Allen West apparently doesn’t think too much of President Barack Obama’s decision to take credit for giving the final order to kill terrorist Osama bin Laden.

West took to his Facebook page to slam the President Friday over his dealings with Iran, but also took issue with President Obama taking credit for giving the order to end Osama’s days on Earth.

“Please stop with the Osama bin Laden line, US Navy Seals double-tapped that rascal,” Congressman West wrote about the death of bin Laden.

Obama has consistently given credit to the Navy SEALS who carried out the raid to kill bin Laden, which he vowed to do during his first campaign in 2008. He also never referred to bin Laden in such a term like “rascal.”

West also said that President Obama prefers to apologize when dealing with “despots, dictators, autocrats, and theocrats.” He also claimed that President Obama’s policies have only resulted in “the expansion of radical Islamist dominance in the Middle East.”

Congressman West has made his career on fiery rhetoric that pushes the boundaries on many fronts.

Most recently though, he retreated from what would have been his Congressional district under the new redistricting maps so he could instead run in a more GOP-friendly district nearby.
