BSO: Wife Murdered By Husband In Gun Range Suicide

TAMARAC (CBSMiami) – A suicide at a South Florida gun range led to the discovery of a second dead body in a Tamarac home as BSO investigators discovered it wasn’t just a suicide but a murder-suicide.

According to BSO investigators, a 52-year-old man walked into the Arizona Shooting Range, located at 4317 North State Road 7 around 10:40 a.m. where he rented a gun and shot himself in the head. No one else was hurt.

He was taken to Broward General Medical Center where he died.

When investigators went to his home to notify his 45-year-old wife, they found her body inside the house. Investigators have not said how she was killed or how long ago the murder took place.

Neighbors said they rarely saw the husband and wife.

The husband used to walk his golden retriever around the neighborhood and they never saw police called to the home before.

Many of them are stunned this happened in their neighborhood.

“This is very sad, very sad, especially when it happens so close to home, it’s surreal, it’s a shame,” said neighbor Jolene Mason.

The couple had been married for 15 years.

Investigators said they have no motive for this and they don’t believe the couple had any children.

It is a shame when someone takes their own life, but even more of a shame when the take the life of someone else before doing so. I bet they find that he was recently unemployed and about to loose everything, this economy is driving people to do desperate things. So sad.

The gun culture in the USA might have a LOT to do with these crimes. No one seems to connect the two issues but it is true.

NO Stan , its not the gun culture . thats a copout , and and so are you

If he were a member of “the gun culture” he wouldn’t have needed to go rent one in order to kill himself. Maybe you should re-check your connections. Here is a FACT – the lowest crime rate of ANY demographic (above age 12) in the U.S. is … [wait for it…] people with current CC permits.
