Arrest Made In Robbery And Beating Of Tamarac Woman

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - The Broward Sheriff's Office announced Friday that they have found the man who beat and robbed a Tamarac woman stepping off the bus in Davie on New Year's Eve.

Ryan Taylor, 17, was arrested and charged with Strong Arm Robbery.

BSO investigators say Taylor assaulted Kelsey Reeser as she was heading home from work just after midnight December 31st. She got off the bus near the 6100 block of N. University Drive in Tamarac.

"Out of nowhere someone came and slammed me from behind as hard as possible," she recounted to CBS4's Maggie Newland. "My face broke my fall, my hand went down, and my knee dislocated at the same time."

She says the attacker wasn't finished with her yet.

"When I got up my glasses got stomped on and I got punched in the forehead and he kept screaming 'give me your stuff' but with more expletives," she recalled.

She says the attacker stole her wallet, ID, and brand new tablet computer.
