MIAMI (CBSMiami) – While Senator Marco Rubio has yet to endorse a presidential candidate, one of Rubio’s insiders has joined forces with the Mitt Romney campaign in Florida.

According to CBS4 news partner the Miami Herald, Alberto Martinez has signed on to work as an advisor to Romney’s campaign efforts in the Sunshine State.

Martinez helped craft Rubio’s campaign for the Senate from trailing former Governor Charlie Crist by double-digits to effectively excising Crist from the Republican Party.

The former Rubio aide served under the Senator when he was the speaker of the Florida House and is also advising Adam Hasner’s run for the GOP nomination to face Bill Nelson, according to the Herald.
