KISSIMMEE, Fla. (CBSMiami.com) – Black Friday brings out the shoppers willing to wait hours in line for the best deals; but it also brings out the worst in people as fights and violence often accompany the doorbuster savings.

Kissimmee Police said a fight between two men at a Walmart jewelry counter ended with one of the men being carted off to jail.

The man resisted when a police officer tried to escort him out of the store and officers pushed him to the ground to put him in handcuffs.

In Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, a 55-year-old woman was shot and wounded during a robbery related to Black Friday shopping.

Police said the woman was shot in the foot after two men demanded her purse shortly after 1 a.m. in a parking lot across from a Walmart store.

In San Francisco, police said a man was shot outside a Walmart as he walked with his family to his car. The family was confronted by would-be robbers out early on Black Friday.

In Los Angeles, a woman pepper-sprayed would-be shoppers from the merchandise she wanted during a Black Friday sale at a local Walmart. A total of 20 people suffered minor injuries during the pepper spraying incident.

Also in Phoenix, Arizona, witnesses said that a police officer slammed a man to the ground after he place a game into his waistband to lift his grandson out of the crowd at a local Walmart.
