MIAMI (CBS4)-Traffic was at a standstill Saturday on westbound SR 836 after a fatal single vehicle crash near NW 57th Avenue.
According to Mario Diaz of The Miami-Dade Expressway Authority, all lanes on westbound SR 836 were closed at Red Road/NW 57th Avenue. Those lanes have since been re-opened.
A look at the traffic cameras on the highway showed that traffic was backed up before NW 17th Avenue. At least one person was reported dead when the incident occurred at 9:17 a.m. Drivers were being directed to exit on Le Jeune Road/NW 42nd Avenue.
According to Florida Highway Patrol officer Nelvys Hernandez, the vehicle struck the guard rail and one person was ejected from the vehicle. That person is possibly a male in his 20s.
