Cooler Weather Headed To S. Florida

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – The stifling heat of summer will be around for Friday, but after that, a cold front will give way to a pleasant weekend with temperatures not seen since May.

The drop in the temperatures will not be much, but the humidity will be falling starting Saturday.

But before the cold front passes on Saturday, South Florida will bake again in temperatures around 90 and heat indices, or "feels like," temperatures near 100 degrees.

As the front passes on Saturday, humidity levels will drop, making it a good weekend for outdoor activities.

Saturday night lows are forecast to drop into the 60's. The last time Miami saw 60's this year was May 17th when the low was 69.

Sunday will bring plenty of sun with highs in the mid 80s and comfortably low humidities continuing.
