Browns RB Misses Practice

CLEVELAND, Ohio (CBSMiami.com) – There may be hope yet for the Miami Dolphins as they travel to Cleveland this weekend to play the Browns.

Browns running back Peyton Hillis was not on the practice field that was open to the media Friday. Hillis appeared to injure himself during a drill Thursday, but stayed on the field and reported no problems afterward.

Hillis is the Browns' offense. He's rushed 44 times for 151 yards and two touchdowns this season. Last season, he ran for more than 1,110 yards and won the cover of the Madden '12 video game.

If Hillis can't go for the Browns, Montario Hardesty would be next in line to carry the ball. Officially, Hillis wasn't listed on Thursday's injury report.

For the Dolphins, it's looking increasingly likely that Vontae Davis will not start. He missed practice again Thursday and will be at best questionable on Friday's injury report.
