MIAMI (CBS4) – Miami Police are searching for the gunman responsible for a deadly drive-by shooting.

The shooting took place around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in front of a home at 6338 NW 4th Avenue.

According to police, a group of friends were gathered in front of the house when a silver or gold, newer model Dodge Charger drove up to the crowd and someone in the car opened fire on the group.

One person was struck and killed. He’s been identified as 43-year-old David Cooper.

The gunman got away.
