Friends, Family Seek Info In Shooting Of Mom, Son

MIAMI (CBS4) - A Miami woman is fighting for her life after she was shot in an incident that claimed her son's life. As she struggles to recover, her family has kept the news from her, even as they seek the person who fired the shots.

Police say 19 year old Raul Patridge and his mother Lutricia "Sean" Allen live near where the shooting happened on NW 58th Street and 22nd Ave. Allen was known as an entrepreneur, a community member, a woman who created jobs in the community.

Neighbors say 19 year old Patridge spent a lot of time with his family. "It's sad because he was such a good kid," said Jessica Lami who lives across the street.

Police say Patridge was helping his mother renovate a building to turn it into a small restaurant. Lami says neighbors had seen the family working there. "It was a good thing that was evolving," said Lami.

Police have no motive for the shooting. Family members did not want to speak publically but told CBS 4 Reporter Silva Harapetian that they believe mother and son were targeted.

Allen owns several businesses in the neighborhood.

Miami-Dade police are asking anyone with information to come forward. Call crime stoppers
305-471-TIPS.
