Vernon Carey Returns To Fins Practice

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Miami Dolphins right tackle Vernon Carey rejoined the team Wednesday after missing the last practice after he was asked to take a pay cut to stay with the team, according to the Palm Beach Post.

Carey has a salary cap hit of roughly $7 million for the 2011 season; though it's not known what the salary restructuring entailed that made the mammoth tackle rejoin the Dolphins.

Carey has played with the Dolphins ever since they drafted him six seasons ago. He still has four years and $20 million left on his contract that was heavily backloaded when it was signed in 2009.

The Post reported that any extra savings from Carey's restructuring will go towards help along the interior offensive line.
