KFC Offers Dwyane Wade Job

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) – Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade recently took to Twitter to say that he was looking for a job during the NBA lockout. While Wade is used to making bucket after bucket on the court, a new job offer may have him dealing with making a new type of bucket.

KFC said in an open letter to Wade, "it goes without saying we'd love to have you back on our team dishing out the World's Best Chicken, like you dish out assists on the court."

Of course being associated with something with chicken in the name may be a bit much for an athlete.

KFC's proposal for Wade: "Come serve as an honorary captain at a local KFC drive-thru window. And while we can't match your most recent salary, we'll honor your KFC service by making a donation in your name to Colonel's Scholars, a charity providing young people with much needed scholarships."

KFC said they have "some pretty cool uniforms" and that if Wade makes a KFC-team comeback, the restaurant may share some of Colonel Sanders' secrets to making buckets with the Heat star.

If it's about making buckets, perhaps the entire Heat team should go in for a few lessons!

KFC said it's keeping a headset waiting for D-Wade. So far, Wade's camp hasn't responded to the finger-licking good offer.
