FSU Advances To Super Regionals

DALLAS (CBSMiami.com) – They do it in football, so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise to Alabama fans that Florida State's baseball team knocked the Crimson Tide out of the NCAA playoff field.

FSU's game against Bama had been suspended in the sixth inning Sunday night due to rain and lightning in the Tallahassee area. At the time, FSU was leading 8-1.

FSU pitcher Scott Sitz pitched four scoreless innings to lead the Noles (45-17) to the victory.

The Seminoles will now host a super-regional against the winner of Texas A&M and Arizona. The winner of the super regional will advance to the College World Series that runs from June 18 to June 29 in Omaha, Nebraska.
