Eye Patch Bandit Robs NW Dade Wachovia Bank

NW MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) – The FBI and Miami-Dade police are investigating a bank robbery in an unincorporated northwestern section of the county.

Just before noon man wearing a white shirt, jeans and sporting an eye patch walked up to a teller in the Wachovia branch at 6707 NW 186th Street and demanded money.

The teller reportedly cobbled together two bags containing an undisclosed amount of cash and handed them over to the robber.

He stuffed the bags into a back pack-like bag he was wearing and quickly left the bank.

FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock said they believe this man also robbed a Bank of America branch, at 9898 SW 40th Street in Miami, last December.

There is a $10 thousand reward for information leading to the man’s arrest.

Anyone with information on the man is urged to call the FBI at (305) 944-9101.
