Report: Miami Caliente Put On Ice

MIAMI (CBSMiami.com) - The days of scantily clad women doing their best impersonation of professional football players are over in Miami. According to the official website of the Lingerie Football League, the Miami Caliente no longer exists.

The team's official website, hosted by the league, is no longer functioning and the Caliente are not on the schedule of games the league has posted, as first noted by the Miami New Times.

Miami was one of the ten teams that started when the Lingerie Football League started just two years ago. The league was born out of the annual Lingerie Bowl that started several years ago.

But, the team struggled to gain traction in South Florida, where real football played by the Miami Dolphins, the Miami Hurricanes, and Florida International University are the dominant forces in the market.
