95-Year Old Woman Tied Up, Terrorized In Home Robbery

MIAMI (CBS4) - A 95-year old woman and her caregiver were tied up and terrorized by an armed man during a home invasion robbery Monday afternoon.

Miami-Dade police said it happened around 12:40 p.m. in the 33-hundred block of NW 25th Street.

Sixty one year old Daisy Martinez was walking toward the front door of the home of the woman she takes care of, Maria Lopez, when she was approached by three men from behind. When they got to the door, one of the men opened it while another man forced his way inside. Once in, he drew a gun and demanded money from Martinez, Lopez and a third woman who was in the house. He then tied up all three women and ransacked the home, taking cash and other items.

The women told police they didn't get a good look at his face because he was wearing a black ski mask, he was also wearing gloves.
