Ft. Lauderdale Police Need Help Finding "Dirty Santa"

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - Ft. Lauderdale police are asking once again for help in finding the man they dubbed "Dirty Santa" after he reportedly took pictures of girls while they changed clothes in a popular department store.

The incident happened two months ago, December 14th, at the Bealls Outlet store at 919 State Road 84. On surveillance video, the Santa hat wearing man is seen heading toward the dressing room near the bra and panties section. His target, according to police, is two young girls. Investigators said he followed them in, hid, pulled out a camera and began snapping pictures.

"He openly went to the dressing rooms and began taking picture in a public place. This guy is a menace!" said Ft. Lauderdale police Detective Travis Mandell. "He needs to be identified and brought to justice. "

The mother of one of the girls reportedly caught him in the act and called for security. With a line of people chasing him – he dropped the camera – but kept going—able to lose everyone.

Witnesses described him the man as being in 40s, around six feet tall and about 220 pounds.
