Broward Teacher Who Asked Student For Massage Suspended
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - The Broward School Board has suspended a Cooper City elementary school teacher for five days after she reportedly asked a student for a massage.
Superintendent James Notter had recommended the suspension for Cheryl Grampa, 45, following a complaint filed by the school district. He also wants Grampa to take classroom management training.
Grampa has been teaching in the district since 1998. The incident, which happened in the 2009-2010 school year, reportedly fell short of being considered a criminal act. It was however considered a breach of the Florida Administrative Code and Code of Ethics of the Educational Professional.
