Trio Arrested In Teen's Death
CORAL SPRINGS - (CBS4) - Coral Springs Police arrested three men for their alleged role in a teen's death that occurred Tuesday.
Police say 17-year-old Santiago Agudelo was killed following a drug deal gone bad. Police say the three men had planned to rob "narcotics" from Agudelo. They met at 10:50 p.m. Tuesday in front of 366 Shadow Wood Lane to conduct the transaction.
Authorities identified the three men who were in on the plan as Eugene Peterson 18, of Coral Springs; Michael Cottrell 20, also of Coral Springs; and Kyle Wilcox 18.
As they robbed Agudelo of the drugs, police say Agudelo grabbed onto Peterson's car as it drove off. It caused Agudelo to fall from the car causing fatal injuries. Agudelo's death was ruled a homicide by the Broward County Medical Examiner's Office.
All three suspects are being held in Broward County Jail with no bond.
