Officer, Driver Injured In Police-Involved Car Accident
SOUTHWEST MIAMI-DADE (CBS4) - A South Florida police officer is recovering in the hospital after his cruiser and another car collided in Southwest Miami-Dade.
Miami-Dade Police Detective Alvaro Zabaleta says the accident happened at the intersection of Southwest 137 Avenue and 120 Street Wednesday evening.
Both the officer and the driver of the other car were taken by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue to Jackson Memorial Hospital to be treated. Their injuries are said to be minor.
Det. Zabaleta confirmed the officer was on-duty at the time of the accident, but the circumstances surrounding the collision are unclear.
