HOLLYWOOD, Fla. (CBS4) – The old adage that the show must go on will be fulfilled Thursday night at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Comedian Lewis Black canceled a performance due to an illness and the Hard Rock has replaced him with Jay Leno.
Leno has had a rough year after decided he wanted the Tonight Show back from Conan O’Brien and forced NBC’s hand that ended with O’Brien leaving the network.
Leno was at one time a hot commodity in comedy clubs across the country, performing more than 300 shows a year at one point early in his career.
Tickets purchased for the Black show will be honored for Leno’s appearance. Anyone who bought tickets to see Black who doesn’t want to see Leno can receive a full refund of the ticket price.
There are still tickets that cost anywhere from $44 to $104 for Leno’s performance at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. Tickets can be purchased online through ticketmaster.com or at the box office at the Hard Rock.
