Poll: Obama Named Most Admired Man

MIAMI (CBS4) - President Barack Obama's poll numbers may be down, but according to an annual USA Today-Gallup poll, President Obama is the most admired man by U.S. residents.

The poll also found that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton is the most-admired woman for the ninth year in a row. She beat out the likes of Sarah Palin and Oprah Winfrey just like last year.

Obama has been the poll's most-admired man since 2008. Still, his lead has fallen over the years from 32 percent in 2008 to 22 percent in 2010.

Others in the top 10 most-admired men included: Nelson Mandela, Bill Gates, Jimmy Carter and the Dalai Lama. The top 10 most-admired women included: Michelle Obama, Margaret Thatcher, Laura Bush, and Angelina Jolie.
