Man Charged For Running Over Victim In July

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - The Broward County State Attorney's Office announced Thursday it has charged 32-year-old Reynaldo Rodriguez with vehicular homicide for the death of Jonathan Peter Corso on July 28.

When Davie Police arrived at the scene, they found Corso lying between two parked cars and a bystander giving him CPR. Witnesses told police a white Cadillac Escalade driven by Rodriguez hit Coros after a verbal and physical fight in the parking lot.

As the fight ended, witnesses told detectives that Rodriguez got into the Escalade and backed the SUV up into a small group of men. Corso was knocked down by the SUV and run over by the Cadillac's back tires.

Corso was run over a second-time when Rodriguez put the car into drive and pulled the Cadillac forward, according to Davie Police.

Rodriguez surrendered to authorities at the Broward County Jail on Wednesday and was released on $2,500. He faces a maximum of 15 years in prison if convicted of the second-degree felony charge.
