Aventura Police ID Man Killed By County Bus

AVENTURA (CBS4) -Aventura police have identified a man who was struck and killed by a Miami-Dade public transit bus.

The accident happened Saturday around 4:30 p.m. in the 20000 block of NE 29th Place. Police said 51-year old Tomislav Ritoper was struck the rear of bus and died before paramedics could rush him to a hospital.

The accident originally was classified as a hit and run, as the bus driver was unaware of the accident. He returned to the scene and has reportedly been helpful in the investigation of the accident.

Police said he will most likely not face any charges.
