When Should You Use A Travel Agent?

There are so many travel planning options available to consumers, making it possible for them to book their own vacations without the use of a travel agent. Many sites, such as Expedia.com, BookingBuddy.com and Travelocity.com, offer consumers a one-stop place to search for and book their upcoming travel plans. Everything from cruises to accommodations and from car rentals to airfare can be booked individually or as complete packages using these sites. Plus, many hotels, airlines and cruise companies make it easy for future travelers to book their vacations directly with the company, completely eliminating the middle man.

Because online websites have made it easier to book vacations, less and less travelers are using travel agents when planning an upcoming vacation. However, just because you are able to make your own travel plans does not mean you should forego the option of using a travel agent. There are many reasons why and many times when the use of a travel agent will come in handy.
