It is a beer lover's dream and the business opened a home-brewing sales store on site for the dedicated customer. The lounge has a full calendar of events with live jazz and open-mic poetry and games. Matthew Weintraub and Barry Gump are instructors at the F.I.U Beer Academy, a certificate class for beer enthusiasts. They teach the art of beer making with classes like Brewing Fundamentals, Mini-mash brewing, All-Grain brewing and Quality Control/Sanitation practices. The classes range from $45 to $135. The Academy has become so popular that the University will be building a "brew research laboratory" to help students in the hospitality program who wish to pursue a career in brewing and marketing beer.
