Top Neighborhoods To Trick-Or-Treat In South Florida

These five neighborhoods throughout South Florida are all rated as very safe and family-friendly, making them the ideal place to go trick-or-treating this year. Many of these houses not only give out candy, but are even decorated for the holiday. Pasadena Lakes

The Pasadena Lakes neighborhood is located in Pembroke Pines around Sheridan St. and University Drive. Not only is it a safe place to take the kids trick-or-treating, but since almost everyone there decorates their houses for Halloween, it's also very festive! Sunrise

There are multiple neighborhoods in Sunrise, which stretches along the Sawgrass Expressway between Interstate 595 and 870 and is right beside the Everglades. This is known as a family-oriented community, so it would be a safe and fun place for families to go trick-or-treating. There is also a Halloween City and Halloween Megastore in Sunrise, which makes last-minute costume additions easy to find and buy! Coconut Grove

Running parallel to Highway 1 between 913 and S. Le Jeune Road, Coconut Grove is found in the middle of Miami and is actually one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city. There are plenty of houses throughout the neighborhood here to visit, as well as a variety of shops and restaurants to stop at before or after trick-or-treating. This is a safe neighborhood, but it is recommended for families who want to do trick-or-treating here to start earlier in the evening before the adult-only crowd hits the area. Victoria Park

Victoria Park is not only a safe neighborhood for trick-or-treating, but is also among one of the most popular in the area every Halloween. Given its popularity and its well-known trick-or-treating factor, it's best to show up early if you plan to take the family here this Halloween. This neighborhood is located in Fort Lauderdale, immediately south of Sunrise Blvd in the 'curve' of Highway 1. Gulfside Village Shopping Plaza

For those further south, or if you are looking for a slightly different trick-or-treating experience, head down to the Gulfside Village shopping plaza located at 5800 Overseas Highway in Marathon Key. This shopping center hosts an annual community Halloween party every year, which includes lots of treats, refreshments and fun for children of all ages.
