THE DEFENSE
Q: Hi Juan. Tell us about your ride. What do you like about it?
A: I like that it's fuel-efficient. I like that it has slick lines. It looks very modern. In this car, I feel like I'm ready for everything. It's responsive when I need to go quickly, when I need to go through an intersection or get out of the way.
Q: It's standard? Only one in 25 cars sold are standard right now. Do you prefer it?
A: I feel closer to the machine when it's a standard vehicle. The engine of the car is the core, the heart of it. I think being able to listen, to feel where it's at, when it needs to change gears, no robot can really make those precise moments.
Q: Sounds like you like machinery and understand cars.
A: I love engines. Car engines are a little bit past my expertise, but I like toy engines. I'll mess with them. I'll take them apart, like those remote control cars that come with gas.
Q: What's the sticker on the back? It's very mysterious.
A: This is Hare Krishna, Krishna consciousness. The people are so genuinely nice.
Q: So you love this car?
A: I love this car. I feel pretty happy with it.
