THE DEFENSE

Q: Hi Diana! Thank you for participating in Defend Your Ride Miami. Great car. I love the Volkswagen CC. Have you had it long?

A: It was my dad's car. I inherited it after a year. He's a big Volkswagen person and has had VWs since I can remember. I'm really happy with the CC. I used to drive it to school and now I drive to work. I use it for outings on the weekends. Lately I've been using it to transport my puppy. She goes to my boyfriends house, the vet and dog park.

Q: Cute! What kind of dog is she?

A: Her name is Tory after my favorite designer, Tory Burch. She's an old English bulldog. I let her sit on the leather seats, which can be a problem sometimes. She is my car's worst enemy right now. I take good care of the car for the most part, but I always have to do damage control after she's ridden in it.

Q: Poor puppy! Or should I say, poor car. Do you have any rules in your car?

A: I do. Everyone has to wear a seatbelt. I was in a bad accident, so I know the value of wearing your seatbelt.

Q: Does the dog wear a seatbelt too?

A: I put the seatbelt on her. She doesn't like it too much, but anything to keep her safe.

Q: Have you ever taken your car on a road trip? What's the farthest you've ever been?

A: The longest I've ever driven is to Aventura Mall. It was about an hour and 20 minute drive. I do like driving it, but I do not like driving, really. If I did not have to drive, I would elect not to.

Q: Understandable. Is there anything else you want to tell me about the car?

A: The car drives really well. It's a very safe car. I like the aesthetics of it. It has a really sleek design. It's a really nice looking car at a fraction of the price of luxury cars. In the car, you can always find a coffee cup or mug. There's always an air freshener from Bath and Body Works depending on the season. So I always have a fall, winter, spring or summer scent in the car.

Q: What's the winter scent?

A: My winter one is winter candy apple.
