The River Lounge is located on the ground floor of the Epic Hotel. The Lounge, with its well-mixed cocktails and specially chosen wines, offers a traffic-helicopter's view of Biscayne Boulevard, the Bay and the Miami River. Surrounded by palm trees and outfitted with wi-fi throughout (if you must), this poolside lounge is a terrific place to watch the sunset and unwind from the workday or have a pre-dinner drink before hitting Area 31 (adjacent) or Zuma (in the lobby).

Around the block from the Epic, the Viceroy Miami, a beauty of a boutique business hotel, is located in the Icon Brickell residences. On the building's 50th floor, check out the aptly named Club 50, where a pool reflects the night sky and an extensive bar and lounge allows partygoers some of the best views in the city - or at least from the highest distance. And the sights only get better after a couple of rounds.

Sibling to the Gansevoort in New York, this trendy property takes a page from its Meat District relative with its renowned Plunge rooftop pool. Head up there for sunset or midnight cocktails and tidbits. It doesn't matter what time you go - you'll always find company. In Miami, Happy Hour is whatever you choose to drink. Oddly, though, just like in Manhattan, not a lot of folks take advantage of the pool.

The name really says it all. Located in the intimate Townhouse Hotel, the Rooftop Lounge offers an exclusive menu from BONDST Lounge, the resident Japanese restaurant from owner Amir Ben-Zion. Cocktails, wines, sakes and craft beers never tasted so good as they do in this open-air, Art Deco-inspired environment. No cover for the twice-weekly parties on Thursday and Saturday.
