Jungle Island

Jungle Island, formerly known as Parrot Island, is a park full of unusual plants and animals. There are rare orangutans, over 300 birds, lemurs, kangaroos, as well as like the African sausage tree, rare cycads and a jungle of other plants. Jungle Island is also the home of the famous pink flamingoes that were prominently featured during the opening scenes of the television show "Miami Vice." One of the nice things about this park is that active duty military personnel, firefighters, veterans and law enforcement officers can get into the park for free if they have proper ID showing they belong to one of those four groups.
