It's almost that time of year again. Art Basel Miami Beach brings arguably the most fascinating time of the year to South Florida with incredible art exhibitions, events and a who's who of the art and entertainment worlds. Getting organized to see the best of the festival is easy with an advance look at the locations and schedules for some of the most anticipated events at the fair.

Art Basel Miami Beach is always a crowd favorite with an incredible 500,000-square-foot exhibition space presenting works from artists around the globe. It seems as if any form of art may be found at the fair from mixed media and paintings to sculptures and performance art. There are guided tours available every day for those who request to be a part of the groups and the fair is appropriate for the entire family to attend. The Convention Center will feature art books for sale and there are cafes and restaurants on site as well as just a block away on Lincoln Road.

SCOPE is a well-established contemporary art fair that typically takes place in the Design District but arrives to Miami Beach for 2013. A special pavilion on the sand will house exhibitions, artists and visitors alike and outdoor art installations are already in place. SCOPE will be hosting several events including the First View preview day and The Official VH1 + SCOPE Party combining music and art. This year's SCOPE exhibitors include such names as Lelia Mordoch Gallery (Paris), G77 (Kyoto) and BLANK SPACE (New York).

Pulse Miami is a fun and spirited contemporary art fair during Art Basel. Pulse takes place annually in both New York and Miami and the exhibits always feature statement-making pieces that bring freshness to the scene. The artists hail from around the globe and Pulse also features exhibitions from non-profits and other organizations such as Cannonball Miami. A $2,500 grant will be awarded to the winner of the IMPULSE emerging artist segment of the fair.

The year 2013 marks the second installment of the Miami River Art Fair in Downtown Miami. The focus is on modern and contemporary artists in indoor (Riverfront Hall) and outdoor venues (Riverwalk Sculpture Mall) displaying special projects and group and solo exhibitions. The featured artists hail from around the globe with talent from Cuba to Australia offering diverse works to be found for art collectors and art fans attending Art Basel. The first day of the fair, December 5, is reserved specially for a VIP Collector's preview in the evening with the following days open to the public.
