CBS4 is proud to announce the first annual “Jonathan’s Day,” an event to support children with autism and their families.
“Jonathan’s Day” will take place Sunday, October 11, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Everglades Holiday Park.
It’s named after Jonathan Mizrachi, a charming 11-year-old South Florida boy with autism, who is the son of a CBS4 employee. Jonathan loves adventure and like any other boy his age, his no fear attitude has made him an exceptional child.
That’s why CBS4 is partnering with Everglades Holiday Park and the University of Miami/Nova Southeastern University Center for Autism & Related Disabilities (CARD) for this truly exceptional event — a day of Acceptance and Adventure.
The event is also a fundraiser for CARD, a non-profit organization providing direct services to thousands of South Florida families affected by autism.
The Florida Everglades is the perfect place for any adventure lover, like Jonathan, where you can speed through Florida’s most exciting natural attraction on an airboat, and journey deep into gator-territory and meet a few gators along the way.
An airboat ride at Everglades Holiday Park is an incredible way to relieve stress, enjoy fresh air and let go in a pristine, natural environment and when the ride is over, enjoy a live gator presentation in their world famous “Gator Pit” presented by the Gator Boys from Animal Planet’s reality show.
