South Florida Catholic Priest Jean Claude Philippe Found Guilty Of Sexual Battery

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - New details on a South Florida Catholic priest accused of raping a parishioner.

Father Jean Claude Philippe took the stand in his own defense on Friday, denying any rape accusations.

Philippe admitted he invited the woman to his home at the rectory of homestead's sacred heart catholic church and stated his behavior wasn't exactly worthy of a priest but denied ever drugging or raping her.

Philippe was found guilty of second-degree felony sexual battery.
