Zoo Miami Holds Program To Introduce Students To Zoology, Zoo Operations

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Some South Florida students interested in having a career in zoology had a very special opportunity with Zoo Miami.

Miami Dade College held a one-day stem pilot program to introduce high school students to careers in zoology and zoo operations.

The students got a chance to learn about animal care, business practices and horticulture.

Students got a chance to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the zoo and also got a chance to visit Zoo Miami's animal hospital.
