Facing South Florida: Felon Voting Rights

The federal civil rights trial is now underway that will determine whether hundreds of thousands of people with felony convictions will be able to vote this fall in Florida.

The passage of Amendment 4 restored that right, but shortly after state lawmakers said they had to repay all monies owed before they could vote.

That prompted a class action lawsuit and the civil rights trial.
