Miami-Dade Police Unveil New Airboat For Emergency Responses In Rural Areas
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - The Miami-Dade Police Department Hammocks District Agricultural Patrol Section unveiled a newly acquired airboat on Wednesday.
Officials say the new acquisition will assist with emergency responses to incidents in over 440 square miles of rural areas in the Everglades.
Police said the airboat will facilitate the transport of public safety personnel to and from an emergency area.
