Public Awareness Campaign Aims to Keep Children Safe, Nurtured and Healthy with Series of Community Events

The Children's Services Council (CSC) of Broward County, in partnership with Community Based Connections, Inc., and dozens of other organizations, presents the A.D.A.M. (Awesome Dads Awesome Men) Challenge on Saturday, March 14, at Joseph C. Carter Park, 1450 W. Sunset Blvd., Fort Lauderdale, 33311 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

The event, which is part of the 4-month-long Broward AWARE! Protecting OUR Children campaign, is meant to is to cultivate father-child relationships while offering a day full of fun bonding activities while providing resources that help keep children safe, healthy, happy and nurtured.

The A.D.A.M. Challenge will feature host and DJ, Papa Keith from 103.5 The Beat, rock climbing, obstacle courses, relay races, tug-a-war, sack races, and an egg toss/race. In addition, an array of vendors providing free resources, free refreshments and giveaways will make this a great event for the entire family!

The Broward AWARE! campaign will culminate in April, during Child Abuse Prevention Month, with the 12th Annual Family Fun & Resource Fair at the Rev. Samuel Delevoe Memorial Park on April 4th.

About the Children's Services Council of Broward County 

The Children's Services Council of Broward County is an independent taxing authority which was established by a public referendum on September 5, 2000, and was reauthorized on November 4, 2014, which, through Public Act, Chapter 2000-461 of the laws of Florida, authorized the Council to levy up to 0.5 mills of property taxes.
