Jury Selection Begins In Corruption Trial Of Former Hallandale Beach Mayor
HALLANDALE BEACH (CBSMiami) – Jury selection began Monday in the corruption trial of former Hallandale Beach Mayor Joy Cooper.
She was arrested back in January of 2018 during an undercover FBI sting operation.
Cooper was charged with soliciting and accepting $5,000 in illegal campaign contributions funneled through a prominent lobbyist and development attorney.
