Broward Home Destroyed In Fire

FORT LAUDERDALE - A Broward man is without a home after it is destroyed by a fire.

Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue arrived to find heavy smoke and flames at a home in the 1600 block of SW 44th Avenue near Fort Lauderdale.

Firefighters said a man in his seventies told them he was cooking when the fire started.

He was taken to Broward Health Medical Center for smoke inhalation.

The home is a complete loss.
