CBS4 News is not revealing the suspect's name because he is a minor.

According to Miami-Dade Police, the teenager tried to take a 2017 Infinity QX-60 at 18301 NW 85th Ave in Miami Lakes, but the 10-month-old baby was still inside.

The victim has been identified as Angie Barrios. Police say Barrios parked her car in the driveway and walked to the front door. The teenager then entered her car and drove away.

The teenager crashed the car outside Miami Lakes Automall and took off. He tried to hide in a Home Depot but was taken into custody.

Witness Elvis Perez says he saw the baby being recovered.

"That I see, police has a kid. I saw the accident, you know what I mean. I heard the police, they said the kid was inside and I saw police grabbing the kid, very sad."

The baby was not injured and was reunited with his mother.

Police are still looking for a Nissan, 4-door Altima that is involved.
