Police: Mom Faces Neglect Charges After Leaving Child In Vehicle While She Went Shopping
MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A South Florida mom is facing child neglect charges after police say she left her child alone in a car, while she went shopping.
Police said Veronika Lopez left the four-year-old daughter, who has autism, alone in her mini-van with the windows and doors locked Thursday at Dadeland Station Mall.
A good Samaritan notified police, who determined Lopez had been inside the store for nearly half an hour, while the girl was locked inside the van.
