DENVER (CBSMiami/AP) – Following a lockdown at Columbine High School and other Denver area schools, authorities say they are looking for a woman suspected of making threats.

The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office and the FBI says 18-year-old Sol Pais traveled to Colorado on Monday night and made threats but they didn’t provide any details about the threats.

“She can, please, come home. I think she’s going to be okay,” a man, who identified himself as her father, told CBS4 News.

That man confirmed the wanted woman lives at his home in Surfside.

“It’s like a bad dream. We don’t know. We don’t have any idea,” he said.

Investigators say she was last seen in the foothills west of Denver, where some of the schools put on lockdown are located.

CBS News has learned from a law enforcement official that Pais is believed to have traveled to Colorado from South Florida Monday night. Her relatives last saw her Sunday.

Authorities said Pais is armed and considered extremely dangerous and should not be approached.

According to investigators, Pais is responsible for a credible threat made against several schools in the area.

Doors were locked at Columbine and at least over 20 other schools in the Denver area as the sheriff’s office said it was investigating a possible threat against schools that was related to an FBI investigation.

Students were dismissed on time but after-school activities were canceled at Columbine.

Saturday will mark 20 years since the massacre at the Denver-area school.

Back in South Florida, one neighbor watched Pais grow up next door.

“She always kept to herself. She never got in trouble at school. So surprising and I feel sorry for the family.” Neighbor Patricia Bilstin said.

Authorities are being told if they spot her, to detain her and evaluate her mental health.

Her relatives say, if the allegations are true, there may be problems they couldn’t see on the surface.

“I think maybe she has a mental problem,” her father said.
