BOCA RATON (CBSMiami) – It's an event that car lovers and collectors look forward to all year.

The 13th annual Boca Raton Concours d'Elegance is being held this weekend.

A major party marked the annual kickoff for the Councours d' Elegance Rick and Rita Case's charity event benefitting the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County.

On Friday night, there were lots of very pricey modern cars, jets, and cocktails.

"And the big show. The grand finale on the golf course is about glamour, high end, classic, vintage cars. Mix in celebrities, toss in beautiful South Florida weather and you have all the ingredients for the annual Concours d' Elegance," Rick Case says.

Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno, a long-time supporter of the show, is an invited judge.

CBS4's Hank Tester asks Leno, "Jay, what's the first car you ever owned? The first car I ever owned, I believe was a 1934 Ford pick up truck. I paid $250 for it."

The Sunday car show stretches across the Boca Raton Resort Golf Course.

The Concours d' Elegance has over the years gained stature in the world of collector car events, attracting more and more of the nation's rarest and sought after vehicles.

"The Boys and Girls Club is very important to Rick and I. We got involved in 1986. Rick says let's raise money for the cause and we came up with the event," Rita Case says

Millions have been raised over the years at the annual three-day event.

Board chairman grateful Jim Robertson says, "It means a tremendous amount of support. The 12 thousand kids in Broward County. We operate 12 clubs throughout the county.

The Concourse d' Elegance car show opens at 10 a.m. and at 11 a.m., Jay Leno walks the field checking out the cars.

The vintage cars are from another age, where design and mechanics met and often produced what could be considered rare works of art.

Saturday night is the Gala Dinner & Show and Sunday is the main event as an expert panel judges some of the finest automobiles and motorcycles ever built.
