MIAMI (CBSMiami) – On Sunday, Democratic candidate for Florida Governor Andrew Gillum's bus tour made several stops in South Florida.

Gillum began the day with a Souls To The Polls march in Liberty City, at the African American Cultural Arts Center, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

After that, Gillum headed to Miramar, where he was joined by local elected officials for a Power To The Polls event at the Miramar City Hall.

From there, Gillum headed to Shenandoah Park in Miami for an early vote party hosted by Latino Victory.

Celebrities including Eva Longoria, America Ferrera, Gina Rodriguez, Zoe Saldana, and Rosario Dawson attended the event in support of Gillum.

Gillum has taken his campaign to every corner of the state to tell voters as governor he would fight for affordable health care and education reform, he would protect Florida's environment and work to make the state's economy one that gives everyone a shot.

"We win this race, we're going to do the difficult work that is going to be required to make this state into one where people can work one job instead of two or three jobs in order to make ends meet," he told an enthusiastic crowd during the campaign trail.

The Democratic nominee has also taken a stand against attacks from President Trump citing his "hateful and divisive rhetoric."
