The crimes were caught on surveillance video, which can be described as disturbing.

A frail elderly woman falling out of her bed, on the floor for a few minutes when a caretaker is finally seen walking in.

She orders the 93-year-old to get up, incapable or just refusing to help.

"Being taken care of by a supposed caretaker that the family hired two weeks ago," said Miami Police commander Freddie Cruz. "As you can see in the video this elderly female falls to the floor.  She needs assistance."

After a short time, the caretaker is seen kicking the woman in the leg.  She immediately starts bleeding.

The woman's daughter was shocked when she saw the video.

"My mother raised us as refugees, and now for an awful person to come along," the daughter said.

Eventually the caretaker attempts to lift the woman into the bed.

"She attempts to carry the older lady and put her on top of the bed," said Cruz. "But just in the form as if she was some sort of an animal.  It's very disturbing video."

Once she is finally in the bed, the caretaker mops up the blood off the floor.

After viewing the surveillance footage discovered by her daughter, police arresting 64-year-old Martha Sanchez.

"At this moment she is facing some very serious charges," said Cruz. "Abuse to an elderly person and tampering with evidence."

The victims daughter pleading for anyone watching to take care of your parents, protect them from these awful people.

For whoever's listening, take care of your parents, protect them from these awful people," she said.

Commander Cruz had similar thoughts.

"If you hire a caretaker, a nurse, please do your homework and be careful," Cruz explained. "Because this incident could have turned out much worse.  Luckily this female is at home with her family. She did suffer some serious injuries but she is going to be ok."
