MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The husband of a missing pregnant woman, who was found dead in a trash can next to Fort Lauderdale dumpster, has been arrested in connection with her and her father's deaths.

The body of 21-year-old Martine Bernard was found Tuesday, less than 24 hours after her father was found dead in his Hollywood home.

Joane Bernard and her family is in pain. They're trying to comprehend a double murder in their family.

"I'm shaken. This is my dad who does everything in his power to take care of us," said Joane Bernard.

Not only was her father, Roosevelt, found murdered Monday, but her pregnant sister, Martine, who was reported missing, has now also been found dead.

Martine was discovered about 4:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Sources say she was found in a dumpster behind her apartment in Fort Lauderdale's Flagler Village.

Police say it was detectives who discovered the body while there to speak with her husband.

"Detectives were on scene and were able to take him into custody at the same time they discovered the body," said Casey Liening of the Fort Lauderdale Police Dept.

It was Monday morning when her dad, Roosevelt, was found near his home in Hollywood.

Both father and daughter were shot.

"Roosevelt Bernard was found shot and killed early yesterday morning a few yards outside of his home in the 2900 block of Washington street in a wooded area," reports Miranda Grossman, Hollywood Police Spokeswoman.

Under arrest is Martine's husband Cassandritz Blanc.

He's already charged in the murder of his wife and is the prime suspect in the death of his father-in-law.

Roosevelt was reported missing Saturday when he did not show up for his daughter's baby shower.

CBS4 spoke to the family before Martine's death was confirmed. At that point, they were already stunned.

"I'm shaken to the core because this is just unreal," said Joane, "it still doesn't feel real."

For people who live in Martine's apartment complex, they too are in disbelieve that something like this could happen.

"It's disgusting," said neighbor Eleanor Stern. "I think a person like that should burn in hell."

Blanc is being held in the Broward County Jail with no bond.
