Suspected Fake Uber Driver Arrested In Pinecrest

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - A man who reportedly posed as an Uber driver in South Carolina to lure women was arrested in Pinecrest.

Pinecrest Detective Alissa Weintraub heard about the South Carolina crimes and realized she recognized the suspect, 28-year-old Farris Kaloti, from his frequent visits to the Whole Foods store.

Police set up a sting and took him into custody during a shopping trip.

Kaloti is not suspected of any crimes in South Florida.
